the sole operator of Hungary’s waste management system. In 2025, we created and launched their TV campaign “Bagoly mondja Verébnek” (a playful take on the Hungarian proverb “The owl tells the sparrow”). Its main goal is to raise awareness of proper waste sorting and disposal, making recycling habits clear, relatable, and enjoyable. The name was based on MOHU’s well-known mascot, an informative owl. We named the family featured in the TVC (representing our audience) the “Sparrows”, thus creating a funny and memorable connection. The campaign premiered on November 1 on TV with the first film in a modular series featuring the Veréb/ Sparrow family, focusing on their home recycling habits. From November 14, audiences could also engage with the AI-powered Mohuka mascot on social media and through banner ads, reinforcing the learning experience. As of the time of writing, the campaign is still running, but the creativity and humour of the campaign is a special point of pride for us.
