We Opened a Window and the Door
In 2025, we won the opportunity to design and implement an EVC creative platform concept targeting Gen Z for McDonald’s Hungary, as part of developing their comprehensive Employer Brand Strategy (MM). While the company’s reputation as an employer had been less than admirable, internal insights revealed that employees actually view McDonald’s as a flexible, inclusive, and diverse workplace.
Our task was to make people aware of that by positioning McDonald’s as an employer brand, building the creative platform, and ensuring consistent rollout across both internal and external communications. The campaign’s – “Drop by anytime. Even for a job.” – was built on McDonald’s core value: the brand is always there for you at the right time and place, even when it comes to finding a job. In order to appeal to Gen Z, we depicted six employee archetypes with the help of restaurant managers, each with its own visual identity and campaign materials. We created an integrated campaign that ran across OOH, online, social, and video platforms, culminating in a 60-second YouTube spot.
Results exceeded expectations, with a 53% rise in student applications, successfully repositioning McDonald’s as a modern and attractive employer brand in Hungary, and a Bronz Penge Award in the category of Integrated and OOH solutions.
